Occasions to practice mindfulness in daily life are everywhere. You don’t have to go out of your way to practice mindfulness. Usually, when we’re working or busy in our lives, we are pulled by the need to do something else, or be at the next place. Today practice making a little time to become conscious of something you encounter every day. Whether it’s your morning cup of coffee, your walk into work, or the aisles of the grocery store, practice noticing the smell, taste, feel, sound and sight of your everyday life. In so doing, you develop the presence of mind to catch yourself mid-frenetic dash and notice what is around you.
